Miso XO Mushroom Pasta – 味噌XO蘑菇意大利面

These quick and easy recipes carry so much flavour, no one would know they took less than 15 minutes to prepare!


Pro-tip: got a almost-finished bottle of Lau Gan Ma or Tom Yum pasta or Miso? Add the ingredients accordingly and use some pasta water to “wash” all the leftover bits in the bottles – zero waste, 100% flavour.

  1. 2 tbsp Miso 

  2. 2 tbsp Water

  3. 3 tbsp XO sauce

  4. 40g Butter

  5. 100g Mushrooms

  6. 170g Spaghetti

  7. Grated parmesan

  8. Nori strips


  1. In a pot of boiling water, cook 170g of Spaghetti according to pack instructions.

  2. In a pan on medium low heat, add in butter and heat until fully melted.

  3. Add in mushrooms and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Add in miso, water and XO sauce. Mix well.

  5. Add in cooked pasta, 1 small ladle of pasta water and grated parmesan.

  6. Mix aggressively until the sauce is creamy, smooth and well coated over pasta.

  7. Serve and garnish with nori strips.
