With the leftover pulp from the Almond Milk recipe, this granola is made by toasting almond pulp and mixing in your favourite ingredients!
For Khalil, he chose to add in date syrup to slightly sweeten the crumble, pumpkin seeds, raisins, and a dash of salt for flavour.
Here’s how some ingredients can make the recipe better!
Oats: Adding a 1:1 ratio of oats to almond pulp will provide a more crunchy texture to the granola. They absorb liquids and fats, which helps to hold the mixture together, creating bigger clusters when baked.
Sweetener/Flavouring: You can add any natural sweetener to add more flavour to the granola. We added our homemade Date Syrup and a splash of vanilla extract.
Salt: Helps to enhance the flavour. However, it can be omitted if you are looking for a healthier alternative.
