Crispy crust filled with luscious caramelised bananas? This is our take on a modern “goreng pisang” dessert made with an air fryer that will have you going back for seconds. 

We wrapped it in rice paper and air fry it till golden brown so the exterior turns shatteringly crisp whilst the inside stays soft and gooey.

n a frying pan on medium heat, melt 1 tbsp of butter and sprinkle 3 tbsp of gula melaka evenly around the pan, before placing the flat side of your cut bananas into the pan.

Soften rice paper sheets by briefly submerging them in water for 3-5 seconds, then place onto a clean cutting board.

To assemble the banana fritters, place your caramelised bananas towards the base of each rice paper sheet and spoon/pipe a small amount of the cream cheese mixture onto the banana. Sprinkle with more gula melaka

Roll the fritters up, and brush evenly with melted butter. Place them onto an oiled rack in your air fryer and season with salt on all sides.
