Sesame ball is a traditional and popular classic dessert served during the Lunar New Year. It is very popular all over Southeast Asia, China, Japan, etc. But each country put different fillings inside.
In Singapore, Sesame balls are more commonly filled with sweet red bean paste, peanut and mung-beans. It’s a great snack or dessert for a potluck. These fried sesame balls will surely satisfy your sweet cravings!

Add the cooled down dough ball to the flour and sugar mixture. Knead the dough ball into the dry ingredients, while gradually adding the water (100ml). Knead until the dough is soft and smooth.

Preheat your air fryer to 160°C. Evenly place 8 sesame balls in the air fryer, being careful not to overcrowd it (they will expand). Air fry at 160°C for 15 minutes, then increase the temperature to 200°C and cook for a further 3 minutes until golden. Repeat this step for the other batch.
