A classic, prosperous Lunar New Year dish, Yi Pin Guo 一品锅, is the dish fit for a king!
While not the most common around the world, it’s easy to recreate from wherever you are. Think Lunar New Year Pen Cai but on seafood steroids!
All you need is a big pot, Eu Yan Sang Singapore’s Triple Prosperity Seafood Gift Set and McCormick Asia’s seasonings to replicate this auspicious meal at home.
Like with other stews, this one-pot Superior Seafood Soup has rich chicken broth made better with McCormick White Pepper, McCormick Onion Powder and McCormick Garlic Powder and the brine from Eu Yan Sang’s Superior Braised Japanese Golden Abalone. Enhancing the natural sweetness from fresh ginger, leeks, daikon and cabbage, this stock is primed for abundance in seafood — we added fish maw, sea cucumbers, prawns, scallops and abalone. Go ahead and add in your favourite seafood for extra huats!
This may be the final dish for our easy 3-course Lunar New Year menu with McCormick, but definitely not the least!
