If you love the spicy chicken at KFC, you MUST try this recipe of Sambal Popcorn Chicken. Think of the best sambal nasi goreng you’ve had but instead of rice, it’s juicy chunks of boneless chicken.
MAGGI® Sambal Tumis Paste turns a 1-hour prep time to less than 10 minutes, right before you try to stop yourself from finishing the plate.

3Boneless chicken thighs (cut into cubes), approx. 400g
2packets of MAGGI® Sambal Tumis Paste
½tsp Turmeric powder 
½tsp Ginger powder 
½tsp Garlic powder 
1tsp Cornstarch
3tbsp Coconut milk
For shallow frying:
100g Potato starch
60g Corn flour
¼tsp Baking soda
Salt to taste
Kaffir lime leaves (finely sliced for garnishing)
Squeeze of lemon juice upon garnishing



Season chicken pieces with 2 packets of MAGGI® Sambal Tumis Paste, turmeric, ginger and garlic powder, corn flour, salt and coconut milk. Massage in the seasoning and set aside for coating.
Mark as complete

In a mixing bowl, combine potato starch, cornstarch, baking soda and salt to taste. Mix well. Coat each piece of chicken and shake off excess flour. Set aside to shallow fry.
Mark as complete

Shallow fry all chicken pieces till golden and crispy. Drain and set aside.
Mark as complete

Garnish with kaffir lime leaves and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Dish up and serve hot.
