Air Fryer Roast Chicken
Happy Holidays Homecooks! This is a simple recipe to make the perfect Roast Chicken marinated with some readily available sauces. For e.g soy sauce, oyster sauce, five spice powder and chicken powder. Coupled with the super convenient Air Fryer, you can literally whip up a fuss free yet delicious meal for your family!
If you do not have an air fryer, you can use an oven to bake it too!
This recipe requires only 1 hour of marination process, minimally. You can also marinate it for a longer period of time for more flavour 🙂

4whole chicken leg | |
2tbsp Chinese white rice wine | |
2tbsp oyster sauce | |
4tbsp light soy sauce | |
1tsp five spice powder | |
2tsp chicken powder | |
2tsp white pepper powder |
Sauce for Noodles:
400g Hong Kong style noodles | |
100g xiao pek cai | |
3tbsp light soy sauce | |
1tbsp sesame oil | |
1tbsp shallot oil |
Directions
1.
Add 4 chicken legs into a large mixing bowl, add light soy sauce, rice wine, oyster sauce, five spice powder, chicken powder, white pepper powder and mix well.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.

Remove from the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking.

Add chicken into the air fryer and airfryer at 180°C for 20 minutes. Remove and set aside.

On a plate, add 2 tsp of light soy sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp of shallot oil and mix well.

6.
Blanch hong kong noodles, 100g per portion for 30-45 seconds. Dip in ice water and back into boiling water. Transfer to a plate with sauce and mix well.

7.
Serve with xiao bai cai, 25g per portion and air fried chicken leg. Garnish with fried shallots.
