Stir Fried Pork with Mushrooms – 翻炒香菇猪肉

Easy and quick to prepare, this recipe makes for the perfect weekday dinner dish! It’s packed with gingerly goodness and mushrooms loaded with flavour from the broth. All we’re missing is a warm bowl of rice. 

This recipe is so versatile too! Swap out the pork and mushrooms with your favourites and voila, it’s a whole new dish.

Ingredients:

  1. 380g Pork shoulder (sliced thinly into shreds)

  2. 30g Ginger (sliced thinly into match-sticks)

  3. 1 tbsp Minced garlic

  4. 75g Shimeji mushrooms

  5. 75g Oyster mushrooms

  6. 3 tbsp Sesame oil

  7. Cornstarch solution (1 tbsp cornstarch with 1 tbsp water)

  8. 2 tbsp Light soy sauce

  9. 1 tsp Mushroom seasoning

  10. ½ tsp Sugar

  11. 3 tbsp Shaoxing wine

Steps:

  1. Heat 3 tbsp sesame oil and stir fry ginger slices until fragrant & brown. Push it aside and add in minced garlic. Stir fry until fragrant.

  2. Add in pork slices, mushrooms stir fry constantly until cooked.

  3. Add in light soy sauce, mushrooms seasonings, sugar and rice wine. Mix well.

  4. Add in cornstarch solution to thicken the sauce.

  5. Dish up and serve hot with rice.
