Definitely one of our favourite things to eat on the streets of Taipei.
Delicious crispy and salty chicken bites!
Now you can make them at home! Perfect snack for a movie night.

Directions

1.

Cut 400 g thigh into cubes
Mark as complete

In a bowl, add the chicken and 1 stalk spring onions (chopped), 3 cloves garlic (grated), 1 tbsp grated ginger, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, 2 tbsp water, 1 tbsp rice wine, ½ tsp baking soda, 1 tsp chicken powder, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, and ½ tsp pepper salt
Mark as complete

Mix well and marinate for 30 mins

To a bowl, sift 200 g corn starch and add 1 tbsp pepper salt and mix well

Coat the chicken chunks evenly in the mix

Deep fry chicken till golden brown

Deep fry basil leaves for 15 secs
