Chicken Karaage Taco Sleigh

Finger food during Xmas parties are often good hits with family and friends. We decided this time around on making a very simple guacamole, pairing with cabbage, diced tomatoes, and put it altogether with deep fried chicken karaage goodness (meat!).

Wrapping up with a toasted tortilla, and garnish with a tinge of mint leaves, and you’re ready to serve. Let your guests play with their preferences and let them put them together!

  1. 1 pack FairPrice Chicken Karaage

  2. oil for deep frying

  3. 8 tortillas

  4. 200g white cabbage (thinly sliced)

  5. ½ cup diced tomatoes and onions

  6. Lime wedges for serving

  7. Fresh mint leaves for garnish


  1. 1/4 cup Japanese mayonnaise

  2. Juice from 2 limes

  3. Zest from limes

  4. 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

  5. 2 avocados


  1. Cut avocados into half, remove seed and deskin with a spoon. Mash them with a fork or blend them in then food processor.

  2. Add Japanese mayonnaise, lime juice and zest. Season with salt to preference, mix well and set aside

  3. Deep fry a pack FairPrice Chicken Karaage until crispy, drain and set aside on paper towels

  4. Toast tortillas on a grill pan to warm them up.

  5. Assemble taco by laying out tortilla, adding guacamole, thinly sliced cabbage, fried chicken Karaage along with diced tomatoes and onions. Repeat for the rest.

  6. Serve with lime wedge and mint leaves for garnish.
