Chee Cheung Fun

We tried out making Chee Cheung Fun based on a Hong Kong styled recipe!
The ingredients are simple but the tricky parts are the precise cooking timings and the method of folding the rice noodle rolls.
However it is not as difficult as you may think it is!
Give it a try and add in your own different fillings! Perfect for the weekend mornings!

Ingredients

100g Rice Flour
10g Tapioca Flour
10g Corn Flour
1tsp Salt
3tbsp Corn Oil
350ml Water
200g Char Siew
1stalk Spring Onions
Sauce:
4tbsp Warm Water
3tbsp Light Soy Sauce
2tsp Sesame Oil
1tbsp Sugar
100g Rice Flour
10g Tapioca Flour
10g Corn Flour
1tsp Salt
3tbsp Corn Oil
350ml Water
200g Char Siew
1stalk Spring Onions
4tbsp Warm Water
3tbsp Light Soy Sauce
2tsp Sesame Oil
1tbsp Sugar

Directions

1.

Dice 200 g Char Siew
Mark as complete
2.

To a mixing bowl add 100 g Rice Flour, 10 g Tapioca Flour, 10 g Corn Flour, 1 tsp Salt, 3 tbsp Corn Oil and 350 ml Water
Mark as complete
3.

Brush a thin layer of oil on a tray
Mark as complete
4.

Ladle enough batter to cover the tray in a thin layer
Mark as complete
5.

Steam for 2 mins

6.

Add Spring Onions and Char Siew

Steam for another 2 mins
Mark as complete

For the sauce, add 1 tbsp Sugar, 3 tbsp Light Soy Sauce and 2 tsp Sesame Oil to 4 tbsp Warm Water

Stir until Sugar dissolves

Roll up the Chee Cheung Fun

Serve with toppings and sauce
