Air Fried Churros – 空炸吉拿棒

Churros are such simple pleasures! Quick to make, especially with an air fryer, they’re an easy afternoon treat with ingredients that you’d definitely have in your kitchen.

Plus, we couldn’t resist a recipe with minimal cleaning. Just a microwave, pot, mixer, air fryer and voila.

    1. 1 cup water

    2. 2 tbsp white sugar

    3. 80g butter

    4. 1 tsp salt

    5. 1 cup plain flour

    6. 1 tsp vanilla extract

    7. 2 eggs

    8. Oil for deep frying

    Chocolate Sauce:

    1. ½ cup semi sweet chocolate

    2. 40ml heavy cream

    Cinnamon Sugar:

    1. ¼ cup sugar

    2. ½ tsp ground cinnamon


    1. Microwave semi sweet chocolate for 2-3 minutes, add in heavy cream and mix until it becomes a sauce.

    2. In another bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon together and set aside.

    3. In a saucepan on low heat add butter and stir until melted.

    4. Add sugar, salt and water, bring to boil and mix well.

    5. Remove from heat and add in plain flour, mix until dough forms. Set aside until cool.

    6. Transfer to a stand mixer, while mixing, add vanilla extract, and eggs one at a time.

    7. Mix until smooth dough forms. Transfer into a piping bag.

    8. Pipe into an air fryer, make sure the basket is oiled.

    9. Air fry at 200°C for 10 minutes.

    10. Remove from the air fryer and coat with cinnamon sugar.

    11. Serve with chocolate sauce.
