Clam Chowder – 蛤蜊杂烩

Homemade Clam Chowder is very simple and super delicious. Creamy, yet light and just so satisfying! Our version of clam chowder is loaded with juicy clams, silky potatoes, and bacon – everything lovely all in one.
 
Rich and indulgent, this comforting bowl of soup is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and leave you with a lovely warm feeling in your tummy!

Ingredients:

  1. 5 slices bacon

  2. 160g large yellow onion (diced)

  3. 2 celery ribs (diced)

  4. 10g cloves garlic (minced)

  5. 3 tbsp corn flour

  6. ½ tsp dried thyme

  7. 500g frozen clams

  8. 500ml clam stock

  9. 190g potatoes (diced)

  10. 1 bay leaf

  11. 1 can Marigold Evaporated Milk - King Of Kings

  12. Salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  1. In a heavy pot add on medium heat add in chopped bacon and saute until lightly browned.

  2. Add in diced onions and celery and saute for 4-5 minutes until translucent. Add in corn flour and mix well.

  3. Add in potatoes, thyme, black pepper, clam stock and bay leaf. Mix well, cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes until potatoes are soft.

  4. Add in 1 can of Marigold Evaporated Milk - King Of Kings cook for 5 minutes and add clams and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  5. Serve with chopped parsley.
